COPPER


Copper is an essential nutrient that is required to convert the body’s iron into hemoglobin. Deficiency is rare and tends to be limited to people with inherited diseases that inhibit copper absorption. Deficiency may also occur in infant who are not breast-fed and in some premature babies.
